ㅤbiographyㅤ Born out of an affair Tokiomi had with an European woman, her mother had decided to stay in China out of unknown reasons. She spent her childhood in a relative peace, even visiting her father’s side of family from time to time, becoming familiar enough with her step-sisters, Rin & Sakura Tohsaka. Her birth name was Yun.The world outside Western Europe, outside the Harwey rule, was less ideal. War stricken and poor, she was lucky to have been born into a rich family, even if illegitimately. Receiving private teaching, she was given her mother’s magic crest and made to learn how to use it and the old magecraft. Still, the lack of mana in the world made her be much more efficient in the new way of magic - cyber hacking. Tohsakas were mostly destroyed in the 1990s for reasons that were unknown to her. Losing the rest of her family at a young age, she became the last known member of the Tohsaka line. Her saving grace were the riches of the family and the skills she had been taught.

To help others in less ideal situations as her, Yun became a member of a United Nations organization, and was volunteering as a system management engineer of sorts for an NGO that provides medical assistance across Asia. When Harweys imposed their rule, she found herself losing faith in her dreams and had many doubts about what her future would hold. Leaving China, she started traveling to other countries, lost and trying to seek purpose and meaning in life. After visiting a broad range of countries that were suffering from poverty she could see the limits of such a strictly controlled society, and decided to fight back against Harwey.After that she left the UN and devoted herself to supporting the resistance. From then on she fought alongside it, however she operated completely independently. Her policy is no civilian casualties. Initially she worked with a data mining team, as an adviser of special technology over a period of three years. Their main purpose was accessing the Moon Cell and spreading the means to access it. The data they gathered was placed into a document that spread around, and while normal people could not utilize it, magi used it to enter the Holy Grail War. She gave an interview in the December 2032 issue of Fate/the Fact, an “Internet Deep Culture Magazine”, where she explained her role in the group and talked about the nature of the Moon Cell. She was able to detect the attack on their group, and though she warned the other team members, she was the sole survivor. Feeling the need to avenge the people she had grown close to, and considered family, she joined the front lines of the struggle of liberating the world from the Harwey rule.

After the wipe of her team, Yun took on an alias and changed her name to someone she had looked up to as a child, Rin Tohsaka. While a way to protect herself, it was also a way to stay connected to her roots despite abandoning such way of life. Rin was active in the middle east as a freelance engineer as of the 2030s where she was hired by the resistance. She resided in the strife-filled land of the middle east for four years where she engaged in warfare against Harwey’s private army. After participating in multiple liberation wars, she came to be known as a hero. However, due to her actions, she is wanted by the plutocracy as an international terrorist.Discussing about the Holy Grail War with the resistance and the importance of it, she formally accepted the mission to ascend to the Moon, defeat Harwey and gain intelligence in the process. Though she never could have guessed for the Harwey heir himself to be one of the participants.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Her real name is unknown. Before Alice passed away, she lived in England. During an air raid at the end of World War II she was gravely injured and her remaining days were said to be numbered. However it was discovered that she had magic circuits, and after that she was kept alive as-is for research purposes. After many years of experiencing continual pain and suffering, her physical body finally died. However her mind that was connected to the net remains, and she continues to live as a cyber magus.She had run from a reality which held only pain for her into a cyber “Dream World.” As she wandered around the network she came across Moon Cell, and then made a contract with the only friend she’d ever had; Caster. In truth she is a Reality Marble that embodies a reflection of Alice’s feelings.

She did not participate in the Holy Grail War of her own will, she simply found herself as one of the Masters before she knew it. Despite becoming a Master, she simply gazed upon the world of SE.RA.PH without participating in the Holy Grail War, there she would find another Master who she thought was similar to herself, and in order to speak with them she would descend upon the grounds of the final tournament. She wanders through SE.RA.PH as though in a dream, coming across new places to play. “A lot of people I don’t recognize are gathered here, it looks really fun.” This little girl had played alone for a long, long time. She joined in on this life-or-death competition because she was lonely.

…However, upon entering the final tournament one cannot help but fight. Like this, the young girl who was chased from reality was once again embroiled in conflict in the cyber world. The innocent Alice does not understand what killing is or how cruel a life-or-death battle can be. There is only a vague desire to forget the sad memories of the reality from which she ran away, and play with someone. The Holy Grail War is a cruel competition, and she fails to understand the importance or need to steal the lives of others.

Nursery Rhyme is not a true heroic spirit; she is the embodiment of Alice’s feelings projected onto a Reality Marble to create a virtual-servant. She is not a hero in the traditional sense, but the general term for any picture book that managed to manifest itself into a corporeal existence. The picture book genre, which is deeply loved in England, has stimulated the dreams of many a child. Nursery Rhyme is essentially a heroic spirit born from children; by children and for children. She is a Reality Marble that embodies a reflection of her Master’s feelings.

This servant managed to save her tragic Master, and at the same time also saving her mirror-like self who is nobody. …even though it is something that is meaningless and fragile like sweets. Before the final battle with Alice there is the “Let’s guess their true name!” event, and after that the poem is displayed. In the poem, the line “Let us grant our final wish.” is a reference to a desire of Alice’s that is not from when she was alive, but rather from after her death when she became a ghost.

ㅤbiographyㅤ In December, 37AD, Agrippina gave birth to hers and Domitius’ daughter, the future Emperor Nero ( Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus ). In AD 39, Agrippina and Livilla, with their maternal cousin, Drusilla’s widower Marcus Aemilius Lepidus, were involved in a failed plot to murder Caligula, a plot known as the Plot of the Three Daggers, which was to make Lepidus the new emperor. Lepidus, Agrippina and Livilla were accused of being lovers. Lepidus was executed. Agrippina and Livilla were exiled by their brother to the Pontine Islands. Caligula sold their furniture, jewellery, slaves and freedmen. Lucius (Nero) had gone to live with her second paternal aunt Domitia Lepida the Younger after Caligula had taken her inheritance away from her. Caligula, his wife and their daughter were murdered on January 24, 41. Agrippina’s paternal uncle, Claudius, brother of her father Germanicus, became the new Roman Emperor. He lifted the exiles of Agrippina and Livilla. Livilla returned to her husband, while Agrippina was reunited with her estranged daughter.In the first years of Claudius’ reign, Claudius was married to the infamous Empress Valeria Messalina. Although Agrippina was very influential, she kept a very low profile and stayed away from the imperial palace and the court of the emperor. Messalina considered Agrippina’s daughter a threat to her son’s position and sent assassins after Lucius. Gaius Sallustius Crispus Passienus divorced Lucius’ aunt, so that he could marry Agrippina. Crispus was a prominent, influential, witty, wealthy and powerful man, who served twice as consul. Crispus soon died and left his estate to Nero. At his funeral, the rumor spread around that Agrippina poisoned Crispus to gain his estate. After being widowed a second time, Agrippina was left very wealthy. Many people began to show pity and sympathy to Agrippina, due to the unfortunate circumstances in her life.

With Claudius’s wife Messalina having been executed, Agrippina used her position as his niece to sit on his lap and offer her shoulder to cry on. It wasn’t long at all before Claudius was changing the laws of incest so he could legally marry his brother’s daughter. Agrippina and Claudius married on New Year’s Day, AD 49. This marriage caused widespread disapproval. This was a part of Agrippina’s scheming plan to make Lucius the new emperor. Her marriage to Claudius was not based on love, but on power. Agrippina successfully manipulated and influenced Claudius into adopting her daughter and having her become his successor. Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus was adopted by her great maternal uncle and stepfather in AD 50. Lucius’ name was changed to Nero Claudius Caesar Drusus Germanicus and she became Claudius’s adopted son, heir and recognised successor. Agrippina and Claudius betrothed Nero to Octavia, and Agrippina arranged to have Seneca the Younger return from exile to tutor the future emperor. Claudius chose to adopt Nero because of her Julian and Claudian lineage. Agrippina wished for a male heir to place on the throne that she might pull his strings, but gave birth to a female heir instead, so she had to make-do. She went to great pains to convince the senate that Nero was Claudius’ trueborn male heir. Any sign of feminity Nero showed was simply written off as another quirk of hers.How fascinating it is, the way men can delude themselves, is it not?

At some point around AD 54, Claudius apparently began to question his decision to disinherit his own son in favor of Nero. Agrippina started to worry the Claudius might reverse his decision. Later that year Emperor Claudius was dead, murdered by Agrippina. She poisoned Claudius on October 13, 54 with a plate of deadly mushrooms at a banquet. Certainly, Claudius’s death was nothing but benefit to Agrippina. As soon as Claudius was out of the way, Nero became the Emperor of Rome within two months of her seventeenth birthday. Agrippina was named a priestess and was allowed to visit senate meetings and watch and listen to them behind a curtain. In the first few months of Nero’s reign, she controlled her daughter and her Empire. She slowly lost this control, however, for a number of reasons. Rising to power Nero had little experience of government and use of power. Relying heavily on her teachers, Seneca the younger and Sextus Afranius Burrus — both experienced and intelligent men, she allowed them to weaken her mother’s control over her. She needed these two men to act as a father figure for her as she had always lacked a present father in his life. She had no desire for the throne but that which her mother instilled in her. To that end she taught her how a ruler must behave. A ruler must brook no treachery within her own court. By the time Nero had her taken care of and assumed the throne, it was too ingrained.There is no more appropriate way for me to speak than with the air of an emperor. We speak according to our parents’ expectations of us in childhood, and how we were raised. I have not been permitted to speak plainly since leaving childhood. And now, were I to revert to that manner of speaking, I would deny what I have become.
Agrippina tried to control Nero with emotional manipulation, and poisoning — offering her antidote for the symptoms when they got bad and she had done well. When Nero began an affair with Claudia Acte, a former slave, and threatened to divorce Octavia, Agrippina advocated for Octavia and demanded that her daughter dismiss Acte. Although she and Octavia remained married, Nero began living openly with Acte as her wife in spite of her mother’s protests. After several vain attempts to strangle Octavia, Nero divorced her on the ground of barrenness, and when the people took it ill and openly reproached her, she banished her besides; and finally she had her put to death on a charge of adultery that was so shameless and unfounded, that when all who were put to the torture maintained her innocence, she bribed his former preceptor Anicetus to make a pretended confession that he had violated her chastity by a stratagem.When her mother saw she could no longer control Nero she supported Claudius’ son to overthrow her. Then when that failed, she had tried to have her killed with the poison.She dominated Nero’s early life and decisions until he cast her off. Five years into her reign, Nero had her murdered after multiple assassination attempts. Agrippina’s power over the empire through her daughter lasted several years, and they are the best years of Nero’s reign. But such an arrangement could not last forever. As Nero grew up and came to understand her position as emperor, Agrippina also came to fully understand how limited she was as a woman in the Roman world. In the end, her power was only effective when it was supported by men. When her daughter withdrew her support, rebelling against her mother, the senate and people of Rome soon followed. Agrippina was forced, very much against her will, into a quiet retirement. In AD 55, to weaken her power, Nero took away Agrippina’s titles, power, and guards. She also expelled her from the palace in AD 57. Quiet retirement did not suit Agrippina and she never accepted it. She agitated against Nero constantly, setting up factions of senators still loyal to her and trying to use Britannicus as a threat against him. Eventually, Nero decided to kill her, because as an emperor she could.Agrippina was murdered outside of Rome, cremated and buried in an unmarked grave with no ceremony. She never received a funeral or any state honours and Nero did his best to pretend that she had never existed during the remaining years of his reign. Nero’s reign had been going well in the years before Agrippina’s death. However, Nero’s “conduct became far more egregious” after her mother’s death. She spent exorbitant amounts of money on artistic pursuits and around 59 A.D., began to give public performances as a poet and lyre player, a significant breach of etiquette for a member of the ruling class.Nero’s rule is usually associated with tyranny and extravagance. Nero is aware that she was a tyrannical emperor who injured the lives of many and met an ugly end. She does not deny that is the truth of her rule, but she is not ashamed of it either.Nero’s rule would have its share of bloodshed in places throughout the empire.** In Britain, in A.D. 60, the Iceni Queen Boudicca rose in rebellion.** Her husband, King Prasutagus, had made a deal with Claudius that would see him rule as a client-king. Upon his death in A.D. 59, the officials appointed by Nero ignored it, seizing Iceni land. At first, Boudicca was successful, overrunning a number of Roman settlements and military units. Nero considered evacuating the island, but this proved unnecessary as the Roman commander on the island Gaius Suetonius Paulinus massed a force of 10,000 men and defeated Boudicca at the Battle of Watling Street. When Burrus died and Seneca retired in the year A.D. 62 accusations of treason against Nero and the Senate began to surface, and Nero began to react harshly to any form of perceived disloyalty or criticism. One army commander was executed for badmouthing her at a party; another politician was exiled for writing a book that made negative remarks about the Senate. Other rivals were executed in the ensuing years, allowing Nero to reduce opposition and consolidate his power.Nero’s construction projects were overly extravagant and the large number of expenditures under Nero left Italy “thoroughly exhausted by contributions of money”. The period was riddled with deflation and Nero’s spending came in the form of public works projects and charity intended to ease economic troubles. By 64, the scandalous nature of Nero’s artistic antics may have begun to cause controversy, but the public’s attention was diverted by the Great Fire. In the wake of the Great Fire of Rome, Nero made a new urban development plan. In order to finance this project, Nero needed money and set about to get it however she pleased. She sold positions in public office to the highest bidder, increased taxes and took money from the temples. The cost to rebuild Rome was immense, requiring funds the state treasury did not have. Nero devalued the Roman currency for the first time in the Empire’s history.Calling herself an artist, Nero possesses a unique sense of beauty. She is attracted to beautiful people, with a preference towards women. She loves anything so long it is beautiful, no matter what it is.These new policies resulted in the Pisonian conspiracy, a plot formed in 65 by Gaius Calpurnius Piso, an aristocrat, along with knights, senators, poets and Nero’s former mentor, Seneca. They planned to assassinate Nero and crown Piso the ruler of Rome. The plan was discovered, however, and the leading conspirators, as well as many other wealthy Romans, were executed. The conspiracy of Gaius Calpurnius Piso in AD 65 was a major turning point in Nero’s reign. The plot reflected the growing discontent among the ruling class of the Roman state with Nero’s increasingly despotic leadership, and as a result is a significant event on the road towards her eventual suicide and the chaos of the Year of Four Emperors which followed. Gaius Calpurnius Piso, a leading Roman statesman, benefactor of literature, and orator, intended to have Nero assassinated, and replace her as Emperor through acclamation by the Praetorian Guard. The conspirators were said to have varying motives. Some wished to replace Nero with a better emperor, others wished to be free of emperors altogether, and restore a purely Republican form of government. Right before the conspirators plot was put into motion a freedman named Milichus discovered the conspiracy and reported it to Nero’s secretary Epaphroditos. The plot promptly collapsed as many conspirators quickly gave up everything they knew. Nero ordered Piso, the philosopher and her former teacher Seneca, his nephew Lucan, and the satirist Petronius to commit suicide.In AD 65 her marriage to Poppae Sabina ended. Having tried to gain a successor for the Julio-Claudian lineage by choosing a man worthy enough to get Poppae pregnant, she died from a miscarriage. However in the year AD 66 she marries Statilia Messalina. Her first husband was the consul Marcus Julius Vestinus Atticus to whom she may have borne a son (who died in 88). Around 65, she became Nero’s mistress. After the death of Poppaea Sabina, Vestinus was forced to commit suicide in 66, so Nero could marry Statilia. Later that year he married Sporus, who was said to bear a remarkable resemblance to Poppaea. Nero had Sporus castrated, and during their marriage, Nero had Sporus appear in public as his wife wearing the regalia that was customary for Roman empresses. He then took Sporus to Greece and back to Rome, making Calvia Crispinilla serve as “mistress of wardrobe” to Sporus, epitropeia ten peri estheta. Nero had earlier married another freedman, Pythagoras, who had played the role of Nero’s husband; now Sporus played the role of Nero’s wife.In March 68, there was a rebellion against Nero’s tax policies done by the governor Gaius Julius Vindex. He recruited another governor, Servius Sulpicius Galba, to join him and to declare himself emperor. While these forces were defeated and Galba was declared a public enemy, support for him increased, despite his categorization as a public enemy. Even Nero’s own bodyguards defected in support of Galba. She was eventually driven out of her position during a revolt. Nero fled Rome with the intention of going to the port of Ostia and, from there, to take a fleet to one of the still-loyal eastern provinces. Nero abandoned the idea when some army officers openly refused to obey her commands. Nero returned to Rome and spent the evening in the palace. When she called for a gladiator or anyone else adept with a sword to kill her, no one appeared. She cried, “Have I neither friend nor foe?” and ran out as if to throw herself into the Tiber. Returning, Nero sought for some place where she could hide and collect her thoughts.Traveling in disguise, Nero and four loyal freedmen reached the villa, where Nero ordered them to dig a grave for her. At this time, a courier arrived with a report that the Senate had declared Nero a public enemy and that it was their intention to execute her by beating her to death and that armed men had been sent to apprehend her for the act to take place in the Forum. The Senate actually was still reluctant and deliberating on the right course of action as Nero was the last member of the Julio-Claudian Family. Indeed, most of the senators had served the imperial family all their lives and felt a sense of loyalty to the deified bloodline, if not to Nero herself. The men actually had the goal of returning Nero back to the Senate, where the Senate hoped to work out a compromise with the rebelling governors that would preserve Nero’s life, so that at least a future heir to the dynasty could be produced.Nero, however, did not know this, and at the news brought by the courier, she prepared herself for suicide, pacing up and down muttering Qualis artifex pereo ( What an artist dies in me ). Nero was convinced that her popular policies and her popularity with the people would protect her from being forced to abdicate the throne. However, the public was silent and they did nothing to protect her. She acknowledges that she had made an error in judgement in relying on the people. Still, Nero did not resent them, instead she was saddened by their lack of uproar.She eventually decided to kill herself, though such an end was considered unsportsmanlike by her. She stopped herself many times, having cried about “how can such a magnificent artist disappear from this world?”, but as those who betrayed her closed in she quoted a line from Homer’s Iliad, “Hark, now strikes on my ear the trampling of swift-footed coursers!”, before finally stabbing her own throat with a knife.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Was born due to her mother sexually gaining power in high society, which she hates her for. The way she was raised and how her mother got pregnant led to her believe that it is normal for talented people to use people less talented than themselves for their own ends. Raised as the only child, her mother had high expectations for Misao. As she was to inherit her father’s business and a way to get even more power by marrying her off to some rich family, she was well taught. However her family life was not happy, with neither of her parents having planned to have her, her mother was emotionally abusive and father not caring.Despite her childhood being tough, she was still born to a high societal status and was raised with expectations and plans to gain more wealth and a better societal status for their family. She was taught a lot of things, and was busy all the time due to her studies, but Misao did not learn how to form real relationships, only using those who were weaker and lower positions than her. Thus she grew up bitter and cynical.

Although she was taught a lot of things, she grew up without any notoriable skills of her own, besides cyber hacking which ensured her access to the Moon Cell Holy Grail War later on, which led Misao to holding a strong dislike for talented people. She also has a somewhat low self-esteem and trust issues. Growing up, she was constantly ridiculed for both her origin and the fact that her given name translates to “leftovers”. Eventually she was sent to enter the Moon Cell Holy Grail War to gain fame and prestige. If she was to win whomever the Harweys would send, and return victorious, she could be a link to the family and be married off.Haughty, overconfident and prideful, she uses Shinji in the preliminaries by dating him for the advantage of having a sure way to enter the war when the preliminaries end. Entering the war she is chosen as the Master of Fenrir, but as she knows not how to properly befriend or trust anyone they did not grow too close. They make it to the third floor during which Misao argued with Rin, confessing how she discarded and sacrificed everything in order to win the Holy Grail War, so she could fight her and ascend to the fourth floor. With Rin refusing to fight and all others fleeing to the first floor, she too is forced to retreat back to the first floor due to Alice’s monstrous transformation making living on the strata near impossible.She creates a large variation of NPCs, including the policewomen that give her and Shinji the advantage of leaving all other Masters without their Servants. Feeling alone during her time in the city she has a breakdown due to the fact that most of the city’s population consists of NPCs, and confesses it one of the Masters that later on form HAKUNO. Together she and Shinji rule over the first strata with the Servants others have given away until the arrival of HAKUNO. Controlling the Berserkers that attack Nero, she was sure of their victory until the arrival of Rin.

Rin being the exact opposite of her, Misao holds her as her enemy as she cannot manipulate or control her. Unlike her, Rin is free and has proper meaning in life, which leaves Amari to hold her as her natural enemy.With Rin and HAKUNO wrecking havoc in their city, as HAKUNO goes to Shinji, Misao confronts Rin. With her Servant, Fenrir, she fights against Rin’s Lancer form but loses as the form is near indestructible, and due to Rin holding multiple copies of the body as it was not her real one. They die before the flood covers the city, which kills all the NPCs and previous Masters as well.

ㅤbiographyㅤ King Arthur, the "Once and Future King", and a legendary hero of Britain known as the "King of Knights". He wielded the sword from the stone, Caliburn, but it was eventually destroyed. He later obtained Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake, but now wields Excalibur Morgan, the form it takes after being corrupted by Angra Mainyu. Just as the fairies of the Lake, Vivian and Morgana, can coexist as polar opposites embodying good and evil, Excalibur can also hold a dual existence of good and evil.

During a fight against True Assassin, Arthur gets consumed by the Shadow, which is born from Sakura's state of unconsciousness. Though the defeated Servants are to be consumed by the Holy Grail, Arthur is taken over by the corruption and becomes controllable by Sakura. He clashes with Berserker, who uses his Noble Phantasm, Excalibur Morgan, to finally defeat him. Berserker is devoured by the Shadow, and the black Servant is revealed to be Saber, now returned as Saber Alter. Shirou rescues Illya, but is confronted by Saber Alter. Archer attempts to defend them, but is overpowered. Her duty complete, Saber Alter spares them, returning to the Shadow.

On the final night, Saber Alter guards the path to the Greater Grail. He clashes with Rider, with Rider slowly losing against his apparently inexhaustible power. Shirou, using Archer's arm, creates an opening, allowing Rider to break through and knock down Arthur. He is killed with the Azoth Sword by Shirou.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Because the head of the family Jubstacheit von Einzbern anticipated the possibility that Kiritsugu and Irisviel would fail to win the Fourth Holy Grail War, he allowed Illyasviel to be born with modifications to allow her to become the Holy Grail should a Fifth Holy Grail War occur. Abandoned by her father after the Fourth Holy Grail War, Angra Mainyu - in the form of her deceased mother - used lllyasviel's trauma to provoke hatred and resentment for her father, and subsequently his newly-adopted son, Shirou. The Einzberns then trained Illya harshly in order to groom her as the next vessel for the Grail and as a Master who would finally bring the Grail to the Einzbern family. Illya was able to summon the Heracles with a slab of rock from a temple as a catalyst. The Einzbern cheated by gathering materials from the Greater Grail which allowed Illya to successfully summon a Servant a full two months in advance.The days that followed were to only hurt her. The Command Spell engraved all over Illyasviel was used to control Berserker, however it did no good as a Magic Circuit and only drained her life away. Even the slightest movement on Berserker’s part caused her to scream in pain. The only things keeping him in this world were the Illya’s magical energy and her Command Spell. Berserker was not created from the magical energy of the Holy Grail. Even if Illya was special, to keep Berserker in this world using her own magical energy was like having her life taken away. Knowing that, she was still not allowed to rest. Soon after summoning Berserker, Jubstacheit von Einzbern threw Illya into the wilderness.

In contrast to her young appearance, she hated whining. Everything that came out of her mouth was an insult. She must have instinctively known that if she was going to murmur something, she would get stronger when she would insult and hate something. Illya scorned Berserker for being ugly and cursed his existence, for she would not have had to suffer, thrown into hell and chosen as a Master if he had not been summoned. Still Berserker protected Illya from a pack of wolves and the two bonded together. The pain had lessened by the time she mastered Berserker’s control, which was when the Holy Grail showed signs of its appearance. lllya travels to Japan to participate in the Fifth Holy Grail War as the master of Berserker. During the initial stages of the war, she lives in the Einzbern Castle on the outskirts of Fuyuki City, accompanied only by her Servant and two maids Leysritt and Sella.She initially appears as an enemy to Shirou. Upon realizing that Kiritsugu is dead, she decides to take revenge on Shirou. She attacks Rin and Shirou by surprise and Shirou gets injured after protecting Saber. When they meet again in the park, she forms a friendly relationship with Shirou and they chat frequently in the park. She tells him about her past and about the Dress of Heaven. She is also aware of the relationship between Shirou and Archer.

Illya is later attacked by Zouken Matou after Berserker is defeated by Saber Alter and corrupted into becoming one of Sakura Matou’s Servants. She is rescued from the castle by Kirei and Shirou’s teamwork. Once Berserker is destroyed, Illya reveals the truth regarding Heaven’s Feel, the Holy Grail, and Angra Mainyu, the corruption in the Grail. Together with Rin, they work together to replicate the Jeweled Sword of Zelretch, which Rin intends to wield against Sakura, who has become a second vessel for the corrupted contents of the Grail. Illya remains behind while Shirou and Rin confront Sakura, extracting a promise that they will return alive.During Shirou’s battle with Saber Alter, Illya locates the Dress of Heaven, a Mystic Code passed down by the Einzberns. Realizing that even if Shirou manages to defeat and retrieve Sakura it would be insufficient to save everyone from the Grail’s destructive power, Illya intends to utilize the Dress of Heaven to protect Shirou. Illya wearing the Dress of Heaven appears in front of Zouken Matou and asks him why he must keep himself alive. Meanwhile, Shirou cancelled the connection between Sakura and Angra Mainyu, so she starts retrieving the defeated Servants’ soul. And she stops Shirou who is about to sacrifice himself to destroy the Greater Grail.Illya reveals to Shirou that she is his older sister and tells him that her duty is to protect him because of it. By the use of the Dress of Heaven, she materializes his soul incompletely and gives him a portion of her body as his soul’s temporary container. After it she closes Gates of Heaven as a Grail and disappears from existence.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Leonardo was born on 15 April 1452, in the Tuscan hill town of Vinci, in the valley of the Arno River. She was the out-of-wedlock son of Messer Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci, a wealthy Florentine legal notary, and a peasant named Caterina. Leonardo spent her first years in the hamlet of Anchiano in the home of his mother, and from at least 1457 lived in the household of her father, grandparents and uncle in the small town of Vinci.

Leonardo received an informal education in Latin, geometry and mathematics. In later life, Leonardo recorded few distinct childhood incidents. One was of a kite coming to her cradle and opening her mouth with its tail; she regarded this as an omen of his writing on the subject. The second occurred while she was exploring in the mountains: she discovered a cave and was both terrified that some great monster might lurk there and driven by curiosity to find out what was inside.

In the mid-1460s, Leonardo’s family moved to Florence. Around the age of 14, she became a garzone (studio boy) in the workshop of Andrea del Verrocchio, who was the leading Florentine painter and sculptor of his time. Leonardo became an apprentice by the age of 17 and remained in training for seven years. Leonardo was a contemporary of Botticelli, Ghirlandaio and Perugino, who were all slightly older than she was. She met them at the workshop of Verrocchio or at the Platonic Academy of the Medici.By 1472, at the age of 20, Leonardo qualified as a master in the Guild of Saint Luke, the guild of artists and doctors of medicine, but even after her father set her up in his own workshop, her attachment to Verrocchio was such that she continued to collaborate and live with him.

ㅤbiographyㅤ The being called Goddess Rhongomyniad came into existence in the world that Bedivere, due to the wish of wanting his King to not perish after the battle of Camlainn, refused to throw Excalibur back into the Lake even after the third time. As the result of his action, he prevented him from dying when King Arthur is historically meant to, which lead to the Sacred Lance Rhongomyniad healing his physical wounds but also gradually eroded his identity as Artoria as it transformed her into a Divine Spirit. For 1500 years, he became a wandering ghost that was fated to roam her Earth til the end of time. Once his original reality was destroyed, she traveled across many parallel realities beyond until she discovered the Mage King Solomon's plan to incinerate humanity.Goddess Rhongomyniad, calling himself the Lion King, arrives in the "Camelot" Singularity and summons all of the Knights of the Round Table, with the exception of Bedivere and Galahad. He gives them the choice to either aid her in her "Holy Selection" or side against her. Gawain, Lancelot, Agravain, Tristan, Mordred, and Gareth side with her, forming the Knights of the Lion King. After they kill the other knights, the Goddess Rhongomyniad grants each of them a Gift, with the exception of Agravain, who refuses to have one. Goddess Rhongomyniad and his knights then set out to the Holy Land, killing all that oppose them, including the False Crusaders and their leader, who the knights defeat in a battle, where Gareth also sacrifices herself. Goddess Rhongomyniad then establishes the Holy City, where only those he allows can live.

Six months after establishing Camelot, Goddess Rhongomyniad and his knights became involved in conflicts with Ozymandias‘s forces and the Saracens. While Camelot and Ozymandias eventually entered a ceasefire, the Saracens continued to resist. In response, Goddess Rhongomyniad ordered his knights to destroy the rebels while she decimated the land with Rhongomyniad. Those left became refugees who flocked to Camelot, where Goddess Rhongomyniad initiated the Holy Selection to choose virtuous souls amongst to absorb into Rhongomyniad. When Chaldea arrives at Camelot, they witness him select three such souls, as he stood atop the main gate. Afterward, he orders Gawain to collect the selected before heading back inside.Later, Goddess Rhongomyniad is told by Agravain about how Gawain failed to carry out the Holy Execution thanks to Chaldea’s interference. He later wakes up at night to see Agravain, Gawain, Tristan, and Mordred arguing in her throne room about Gawain’s punishment, wondering if it’s a war council for the desert invasion. Gawain reports to him that two of the three selected were successfully collected, but one was killed. He lost 12 Enforcement Knights, and over a hundred refugees escaped. The refugees split into two groups: one to mountains; one with suspicious merchants. After hearing his report, Goddess Rhongomyniad blasts him out of the castle and into Camelot’s outer wall as punishment for his failures. Since he survived though, he pardons him. He then tells Mordred to return outside, as she is only allowed inside the city during the day. After Mordred leaves, Goddess Rhongomyniad threatens to punish Agravain like Gawain after he questioned her decision to not let Mordred inside the city. He calls it unnecessary to station Mordred in the city to solidify their guard. He declares Mordred’s only use is to roam outside, and orders to keep her alive until their eventual battle with Ozymandias. Believing they’ll die in the wasteland, he stops Agravain from ordering Mordred to pursue the refugees. He orders to prepare for battle against Ozymandias, which will begin when Lancelot returns.Days later, Goddess Rhongomyniad orders Tristan to attack the eastern Saracen village, while he destroys the western village with Rhongomyniad. However, Arash repelled his attempt to destroy the eastern village with Stella. Following the operation, Lancelot returns to Camelot to report that he has found twelve humans fit for Holy Selections and gave them to the city’s supervisors. He questions Goddess Rhongomyniad’s decision to unleash Rhongomyniad on the eastern village, even though Tristan already set fire to it. Goddess Rhongomyniad responds he used Rhongomyniad of his own volition, declaring its use on a human settlement would only fan the flames of rebellion. However, he did so this time because the Tower of the Farthest Reaches is nearing its completion, which needs to be done before Solomon enters the next stage of his plan after the Incineration of Humanity. Tristan returns and reports the eastern village wasn’t destroyed thanks to Arash’s intervention because Lancelot failed to kill him. Lancelot decides to chase after Chaldea before they join forces with Ozymandias to redeem himself. Goddess Rhongomyniad allows him to do so, ordering him to return before the walls of Camelot manifest. Agravain tells him to not let Bedivere concern him after learning of his appearance from Tristan, Gawain, and Mordred. But she doesn’t seem to recognize Bedivere.As Chaldea and their allies assault, Goddess Rhongoymaniad manifests the Tower in compliance with Agravain’s pleas. Eventually he comes face to face with Ritsuka’s party in his throne room. He declares correcting the course of humanity and killing him is the same. He further declares Ritsuka’s soul knows good yet commits evil, thus their soul is not needed in his utopia. Then unleashing the storm at the Ends of the World, he prepares to fight the group. He declares she will eternally store the truly virtuous of humanity in Rhongomyniad in order to save humanity from Solomon’s plan. Knowing of her shortened lifespan, Goddess Rhongomyniad asks Mash if she understands her ideal. He then fights the group, her Authority bearing down on them and her magical energy destroying pieces of SHEBA. He declares humanity will be granted eternity inside her lance as the ultimate conclusion of protecting it. Mash however rejects his ideal and challenges him to combat. In response, Goddess Rhongomyniad launches Rhongomyniad, but Mash blocks it with her true Noble Phantasm, Lord Camelot.

Goddess Rhongomyniad struggles to remember Bedivere after recognizing the light from Airgetlám. He remembers his name after Leonardo da Vinci realizes Airgetlám is Excalibur in disguise. Despite having no memories of him, he orders him to throw Excalibur away and return to him. Bedivere rejects the order and fights him with the others. Goddess Rhongomyniad is shocked that a mere human like Bedivere is pushing him back, even as his body breaks down. He asks him why he is doing this, to which he replies it’s because he remembers his smile. He then returns Excalibur to him, despite his pleas for him not to use it. With Excalibur returned to him, Goddess Rhongomyniad remembers Bedivere, and thanks him for being her last and loyal knight.After Bedivere disappears with his task complete, he considers fighting the group with Excalibur since he lost Rhongomyniad with Bedivere’s final act. But he decides against it upon seeing they are being ejected from the Singularity with the Grail collected and Rhongomyniad now gone. He tells Mash that Bedivere’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain when Da Vinci revealed he would disappear. He then reveals his status as Divine Spirit allowed him to see from Solomon’s perspective, therefore he knows he resides in a temple outside the proper flow of time and space. He reveals the seventh Grail being sent into the past by Solomon served as the first step towards the Incineration of Humanity. He then tells Ritsuka that he will not apologize for her actions because he believes his actions were still right, as protecting humanity differs from protecting the individual. Because of this he tells Ritsuka to follow the path they feel is best. He then warns the Seventh Singularity has a great evil greater than Solomon. He tells the group to gather allies to face off against the Evils of Humanity. As the group is forcibly returned to Chaldea, he bids them farewell, and declares there was meaning to Bedivere’s mistake and her existence.Later, he is met by a grievously wounded Agravain. He expresses concern for his wounds, determining he faced a fierce opponent. Agravain confirms thus, and he permits him to approach the throne. He cannot heal him, but he can at least ease his pain a little. Agravain claims he isn’t worthy, as he still needs to work to help establish Goddess Rhongoymiad’s ideal utopia. He forgives him though and tells him to rest. He states Agravain's one flaw is his workaholism, but Agravain replies it is nothing compared to his.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Originally named Viviane she was created by the planet in 4,000 BC to be the savior of Britain.Orkney was the land governed by the Rain Clan, and while the Rain Clan feared how the Avalon le Fae's appearance would expose their sins, they took pity on how she was still just a baby and chose to protect her from the other Clans. Due to Orkney being in the northernmost corner of the map, it was poorer than the other Clans and didn't prosper much, but conversely, it was a calmer and more peaceful land. The giant World Tree at the tip of the world towered over Orkney and it rained there for most of the year.The queen of the Rain Clan raised the girl as her own daughter, ultimately naming her Aesc, the same name as the World Tree. The "daughter" treatment wasn't meant to lure the girl to her side. The goal was to fill her with the fond memories and knowledge she'd need in her eventual journey as the Avalon le Fae. Despite being aware of her mission, she was impressed by the kind hearts of the Rain Clan and grew into a tender-hearted woman. The young girl's favorite place was her secluded study. The gray sky visible from the window. The gentle sound of the raindrops. In this vast collection of books, she searched for an alternative solution to save the fae from their agonizing sin—not by ending Britain but by starting Britain anew. Like a child sitting on a desk reading fairy tales, she dreamed of the "ideal nation" inside that gloomy but warm study.However, on the girl's 16th birthday, Orkney fell to ruin. In fear of being condemned by the Avalon le Fae, the other Clans formed an alliance and invaded Orkney. The Rain Clan was slaughtered, Orkney was covered in flames, and the sheltered Avalon le Fae was discovered and executed. The "Avalon le Fae" they captured on this occasion was the Rain Queen's real daughter, and said daughter volunteered herself as the Avalon le Fae out of concern for Morgan's future.After surviving due to the Rain Clan's final act of resistance, Morgan swallowed her hatred for the other Clans, parted ways with the ruined land of Orkney, and headed to mainland Britain as the Faerie of Salvation in order to make the Rain Clan's wish come true... To make Britain into a peaceful land with no conflict... While traversing through mainland Britain, the sadness of losing Orkney made her into a sulking, dead-eyed delinquent."I hate all fae outside the Rain Clan. I'll do what it takes to free Britain from conflict, but I don't really want the fae to be happy. Following her millennia of traveling, she grew out of her evil witch phase by finding a clear goal and more friends she could trust. For 3600 years, Aesc dispelled the Calamities that appear every 100 years, and the Great Calamities that appear every thousand. After defeating one of them, Aesc would hide in a cave and rest in a coffin for 20 years. She also fought alongside her retainers Ector the Immortal, Grímr the Wise, and the Knight of Beginnings, Totorot. Her legends have continued into the British Lostbelt's modern day.While deep inside she was burning with fury and hatred over the destruction of Orkney, she did a splendid job as the savior by suppressing the negative emotions with her innate sense of fairness and justice and her unwavering character. After becoming living hope for the weaker fae and the enslaved humans, Aesc went around suppressing clonflicts in every land, until dhe eventually formed the Round Table, mediated the feud between the Faerie Clans, helped with construction of the human capital Londinium, then finally unified Britain and prepared to welcome its first king.

Aesc was originally created by the Inner Sea of the Planet to force the Fairies of Britain to repent and complete their duty of forging the Holy Sword via Avalon Le Fae. Aesc is a "Caster", the one who channels the voice of Paradise. Due to this, most fairies in Britain hate everything about her. After being betrayed too many times during her various attempts to save Britain, Morgan decided to dominate Britain instead. In response to her failure, the planet created a new fairy, Artoria, to fulfill Morgan's old mission.

EPIC OF GILGAMESHSiduri, the veiled barmaid, keeps a tavern by the edge of the sea. Gazing along the shore, she sees a man coming toward her. He is wearing animal skins, and his face is wind-bitten and battered. He looks like he has been traveling for a long time. Concerned that he might be dangerous, Siduri closes and bars her door against him. The traveler pounds on the door and threatens to smash it down. He says he is Gilgamesh, and Siduri asks him why he looks like a tramp and a criminal. Gilgamesh says that he is grieving for his companion who helped to fight the lions and the wolves and slay the demon Humbaba and the Bull of Heaven. He says that Enkidu has been overtaken by the fate that awaits all humankind—he’s turned to clay. Gilgamesh asks Siduri if that is what will happen to him.Siduri unlocks her door and tells Gilgamesh that only the gods live forever. She invites him into her tavern to clean himself up, change his clothes, and eat and drink his fill. But Gilgamesh no longer cares for earthly pleasures and refuses to be distracted from his mission. He asks her how to find Utnapishtim.Siduri gives him a speech about how his quest is pointless, because the gods have forbidden human beings from achieving immortality. Therefore, she says, Gilgamesh should spend his time enjoying the fine things in life. “Attend to the little one who holds onto your hand, let a wife delight in your embrace. This is the true task of mankind”Siduri tells Gilgamesh that Shamash the sun god crosses the sea every day, but from the beginning of time, no mortal has ever been able to follow him, because the sea is too stormy and treacherous. Siduri says that even if he miraculously survived the crossing, he would then face the poisonous Waters of Death, which only Urshanabi, Utnapishtim’s boatman, knows how to navigate. She tells him that Urshanabi lives deep in the forest, where he guards the Urnu-snakes and the Stone Things. When Siduri sees that she cannot sway Gilgamesh from his purpose, she gives him directions to Urshanabi’s house and tells him to ask Urshanabi to take him to Utnapishtim. She instructs Gilgamesh to return to her if Urshanabi refuses.Siduri the veiled barmaid is a traditional figure in Mesopotamian mythology and poetry, and in the Hurrian language her name means “young woman.” The goddess of wine-making and beer brewing, she is usually considered a manifestation of Ishtar.

FATE/GRAND ORDERAlready as children Siduri and Gilgamesh knew each other, with her even attending his coronation. Growing up she pursues her education, learning maths and literature alike, becoming well educated. Still despite both being busy in their respective tasks the two stayed as close as they could. Being there when Enkidu arrived, she could see how much they changed Gilgamesh for the better and gave the lone king a path and a happy life. Once finished with her education and became old enough, Siduri joined Gilgamesh by his side as his secretary, becoming even better friends with him and Enkidu. Spending years with the two, the three grew close with Enkidu even helping Siduri with her tasks in town. Considering Enkidu one of her dearest friends, she is heartbroken when they die. Only having wished them happiness and a long life, having them ripped away from her and Gilgamesh so soon enough already she joins the city in mourning.When Gilgamesh leaves for his quest she stays behind, keeping the town together to the very best of her abilities. She is one of the very last people still left in Uruk once Gilgamesh returns, and gives a proper scolding that makes him stay in Uruk and become king. She is first introduced when Merlin brought Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight to Gilgamesh. She greets Merlin on Gilgamesh’s behalf and asks if he had recovered the Tablet of Heaven. She provides Ritsuka and Mash a room, which was originally a bar. After the false Tiamat was destroyed, she was kidnapped while trying to protect the villagers. She was converted into a Lahmu. Siduri was amongst the army of Lahmus that was attacking Uruk, however she was able to maintain her humanity and was not attacked when Ritsuka realized it was her.After Kingu gets betrayed and heavily injured by a Lahmu, they escape to the forest nearby. Giving up and preparing to die, they get rescued from certain death by Siduri in the form of Lahmu who kills the other Lahmus. Calling them Enkidu and her dearest friend, she tells them how she mourned them and thanks them for what they did for Uruk and Gilgamesh before telling them to find happiness. She dies glad knowing that she was able to thank them and share her feelings.Even in Fate she is a minor goddess.

ㅤbiographyㅤ She was born from a successive line descended from the Girl of the Moon after she fell to Earth. She lives on a crescent-shaped island that is treated as a sacred ground. In it lives a small colony of less than fifty people. The island holds no port and people are not allowed to come over with a boat, leaving only the privileged who own an aircraft able to visit by flying over. It is said to be the star of hope for the restoration of humanity

During a full moon in November after sending away yet another suitor she met a deliveryman who had come to see her half because of work, half due to personal curiosity. The small tin man was also a merchant who wanted to exchange something he had for something she had. Holding nothing important, she agreed to tell a story of her grandmother. For a month the tin man stayed on the island and taught the girl how to read and write to get a written form of the story due to not fully being able to hear the girl. Despite the problems in the tin man’s hearing they days were stimulating to her. Though at first she had been taken aback by his appearance, after a few days his small form became an ordinary sight to her.She tried to write the story of her grandmother as a tragedy, even going out of the way to voice her own objections in the story. However, due to being a form of life that inherits the memories of her ancestors as her own, the story still came out happy despite it being a cruel story from her point of view. She could not understand how she had been happy to be thrown aside and abandoned after working so hard, thinking if love meant being able to accept betrayal, then she could never imagine herself embracing it.

In exchange for writing out the book for the deliveryman she was given a seashell shaped recorder which held within the story from the eyes of the man who had left to live on the Moon.

ㅤbiographyㅤ She’s an artificial “brain” created for the Moon created by mankind. Grandmother of the Storyteller Girl. In a prairie named the Sea of Shadows, there sat a rock in the shape of a young girl. Glowing flaxen hair, smooth stone skin. It would make one think of white, unblemished alabaster. The girl was sitting in a shallow lake, with her arms falling to the ground at her sides. That was where they ended. Both of the girl’s hands were fused into the ground of the Moon. Her arms were discolored black from the elbow downwards, and her construction became sharper as it connected with the ground. Because of this, she looked like a pillar extending from the ground. According to records left in the lunar cities, she was an input mechanism for managing the planet more efficiently. The scientists on the Moon had created an artificial brain, and a command body to go along with it with which they could control the planet as they pleased.Awakening after some time she stretched out her senses over the surface of the world but could find no human presence. The humans had disappeared completely. Being alone she came up with a way to pass the time by thinking up theories as to what happened to the human kind living on the surface of the Moon. But she was faithful to her duties, and so she continued to perform the task that was asked of her. First, she cut surplus nuclear energy to the cities. The entertainment facilities were clearly no longer needed. She redirected all the extra energy to environmental control. Within half a century, the Sea of Shadows had transformed into a city filled with trees and skies. She created seven seas on the Moon, and another half century passed. She thought man would return once she had fulfilled their wishes, but there was no trace of them. All alone on a soundless world. Sometimes, she came close to the truth, that people weren’t the ones exiled, but that she was placed on this planet alone to travel by herself. But because it was just a theory, she never gave it much more thought.Then one day she awakened to the sensation of footsteps on sand. Upon becoming fully conscious, she was astonished to see a human walking down the tree-lined street. Having no throat, she was unable to speak with him but was able to analyze his mumblings. He offered her information in exchange for goods. What she was able to glean was very trivial, however. He had come to this planet alone, against the wishes of his peers. There was no particular meaning to his arrival. And so he began living here, using the machinery of the city. A leisurely retirement, as one might call it. Every 12 hours he would come visit her location and mumble to himself while filling his tank with hydrogen.

The man found it arrogant to have human culture forced upon her and tried to remove her dress, but was stopped with all her might. The next day he came to apologize and said he would teach her the finer points of humans and how fragile they are. The man figured that even if he couldn’t hold a conversation with her, he could at least convey his intentions. He tried using his arms to indicate that he wouldn’t repeat his previous actions, and after about an hour, she nodded her head and accepted his apology.He was a new world for her and she emphatically worried for him. She believed him to have been sent on the Moon due to falling in love and it saddened her so she worked even harder in order to try to provide a better life for him. However, the more human she became the more displeased he turned due to her using limited resources as in the end she would also die with the planet. Just by watching and learning from him, she was slowly evolving herself and becoming more human. However, in the process she took more resources away from the Moon. The forest she had created started falling apart. The man spent six months of Earth time with her. The chemical production rate started dropping as the girl spent more time as human. More than half of the Moon’s forest reverted to sand. The forest was the girl’s only suitable habitat. As it receded, her liveliness also diminished.Eventually she fell in love with the man.“He was such an amazing person. He defined life for a stone like me.” Those words have been etched into the coral till this day.

She acquired vocal cords and apologized for not being able to move the planet as well as she had been able to. Though he could not understand her, she only wished to know more about him and touch him. The man felt bad for her. He could not understand why she would choose to become human, and decided that she simply loved her due to not knowing any other humans. As she lost more and more of her functionality as the Moon’s brain and limbs, the surface naturally reverted to a world of death. The girl began tumbling towards death. The more human she became, the more the planet abandoned her. The more she became enchanted by humanity, the more the man lost his drive. But even so he believed that if such a beautiful stone wished to obtain life, then he had to fulfill her wish. With such mindset he started working on the repairs of the rocket.The girl started spending over 80% of her time asleep. He had forbidden himself from touching her before, but while asleep he embraced her and carried her to the rocket. Though she woke up and protested on the way, she had no strength to do it like before and soon fell back asleep. However, she woke up in the rocket. Trying to get out, she could only cry that he was wrong and she did not love humans but only him. Yet he could not find himself accepting her love despite having fallen in love with her. He only wished for her safety, and a life on Earth was that. The ship left with only her on board and once reaching Earth’s atmosphere it dissipated in the air, and just like the punchline of a bad joke, she plunged into the blue ocean upside-down. That was how the island started. She managed to survive, but the shock of the landing blew away her memories. It was at that time that the island grew a new coral reef.She lived on the island, gave birth to a child, and lived out her life. But every month when the night of a full moon came, she would look into the sky, and smile happily. Yet at the end of her life, she walked into the ocean and never returned.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Kohaku was a member of a branch family of the Fujou clan, but was brought with her sister Hisui to live in the Tohno mansion, because the Fujou clan had a special power of giving others energy. Makihisa Tohno needed this ability in order to keep control of his body. Unlike the other children, she had to watch them from afar as they played together. Just before Shiki Tohno leaves the mansion to live with the Arima family, Kohaku gives him her favorite ribbon and makes him promise to return it, indirectly begging for him to return.

Some time later, Makihisa decided to give more freedom to Kohaku, but in order to do it, she had to take care of an imprisoned SHIKI (who was imprisoned due to the Shiki incident and the fact Makihisa did not want to kill his son). With time she was driven further into despair and decided to get revenge on the Tohno family. To do it, she twisted and brainwashed SHIKI with her medicinal herbs, all for the sake of her revenge. Akiha and Hisui learned of Makihisa’s sin against Kohaku, and it depressed them greatly. Akiha freed Kohaku from Makihisa and she became a normal servant. But Hisui was still depressed so Kohaku, seeing her sister’s free enthusiasm falter for her sake, promises Hisui that she will “take on her role” until she was cheerful again. Ironically, it is because of those words that Hisui is unable to return to her old self.

Due to her intervention, SHIKI killed Makihisa, which was the reason why Shiki returned to the Tohno mansion.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Born into the prestigious Tohno family, Akiha lived a sheltered childhood under the strict supervision of her father Makihisa Tohno and was seldom allowed to go outside the mansion to play. She was also subconsciously afraid of her brother SHIKI, because of his strange and different behaviour. When Shiki Nanaya was adopted into the family, she initially disliked him because he had the same name as her brother.One day while she quietly waited for her tutor to arrive, Shiki took her hand, inviting her to play with him, SHIKI and Hisui, the other children at the mansion. Thanks to this she was able to experience at least some semblance of the joys of childhood. Soon afterwards Shiki was fatally wounded and then saved by Akiha by giving him half of her life force. He was sent to live with a branch family and though Akiha tried to visit him, pressure from her father and other relatives, in addition to Shiki’s constant visits to the hospital, prevented their meeting. Contact was made all but impossible when Akiha was placed in a boarding school and she was forced to live on the campus.

Due to the accident that caused Shiki to die, she needs twice the amount of heat of an average person because she is supporting both their lives. To make up for her increased demand, she must absorb heat from others. She can take this heat in through various means, even by simply absorbing their body heat through contact, but the most efficient method is by drinking fresh blood. Because of the strain on her body, this causes, she often experiences attacks of intense pain that can last from a few minutes to several hours.

Years later she learned of her father abusing Kohaku in order to control his demon blood and freed her, allowing her to live as a normal maid. Upon the death of Makihisa, Akiha became the head of the Tohno household and, ignoring protests from the remaining relatives, called Shiki back to live at the family mansion with her.Akiha now has given into her Mixed-Blood of Tohno family. In this state, Akiha is close to becoming a Crimson Red Vermilion. Through sheer willpower alone, she is able to control her rampage and avoid fully becoming one. Or rather, for Akiha this form is actually what she looks like when she's conserving her strength, and her normal form is the result of her actively using her power to suppress her Oni blood. It's quite similar to the situation with Arcueid Brunestud and her Vampiric Impulses. Properly speaking, becoming a Crimson Red Vermillion means completely losing your ability to reason, but it seems even in this state Akiha still has some sanity left. This, too, is probably by virtue of her high aptitude for it.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Julia Augusta Agrippina was born on November 6th in AD 15 at Oppidum Ubiorum, a Roman outpost on the Rhine River located in present-day Cologne, Germany. As a small child, Agrippina traveled with her parents throughout Germany until she and her siblings (apart from Caligula) returned to Rome to live with and be raised by their maternal grandmother Antonia. In October of AD 19, her father Germanicus died suddenly in Antioch (modern Antakya, Turkey). Agrippina the Younger was thereafter supervised by her mother, her paternal grandmother Antonia Minor, and her great-grandmother, Livia, all of them notable, influential, and powerful figures from whom she learnt how to survive. She lived on the Palatine Hill in Rome.In 28AD, after her thirteenth birthday, Tiberius arranged for Agrippina to marry her paternal first cousin once removed Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus and ordered the marriage to be celebrated in Rome. Domitius came from a distinguished family with a long line of consuls. When Agrippina was 14, her mother, Agrippina the Elder, was exiled because of her hostility to Emperor Tiberius. Agrippina the Elder eventually died of starvation.In December, 37AD, Agrippina gave birth to hers and Domitius’ daughter, the future Emperor Nero (Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus). Tiberius died in the same year, and Claudius (Caligula), Agrippina’s only surviving brother, ascended to the throne. Being the emperor’s sister gave Agrippina some influence. Agrippina and her younger sisters Julia Drusilla and Julia Livilla received various honours from their brother. Caligula and his sisters were accused of having incestuous relationships. On June 10, AD 38, Drusilla died, possibly of a fever, rampant in Rome at the time. Following her death Caligula showed no special love or respect toward the surviving sisters and was said to have gone insane.In AD 39, Agrippina and Livilla, with their maternal cousin, Drusilla’s widower Marcus Aemilius Lepidus, were involved in a failed plot to murder Caligula, a plot known as the Plot of the Three Daggers, which was to make Lepidus the new emperor. Lepidus, Agrippina and Livilla were accused of being lovers. Lepidus was executed. Agrippina and Livilla were exiled by their brother to the Pontine Islands. Caligula sold their furniture, jewellery, slaves and freedmen. Lucius had gone to live with his second paternal aunt Domitia Lepida the Younger after Caligula had taken his inheritance away from him.

Caligula, his wife and their daughter were murdered on January 24, 41. Agrippina’s paternal uncle, Claudius, brother of her father Germanicus, became the new Roman Emperor. He lifted the exiles of Agrippina and Livilla. Livilla returned to her husband, while Agrippina was reunited with her estranged daughter. At this point, many would probably have thanked their luck and lived a quiet and luxurious life, but Agrippina never wanted a quiet life and believed entirely in her right to rule and her daughter’s right to succeed Claudius. Agrippina tried to make shameless advances to the future emperor Galba, who showed no interest in her and was devoted to his wife Aemilia Lepida. On one occasion, Galba’s mother-in-law gave Agrippina a public reprimand and a slap in the face before a whole bevy of married women.In the first years of Claudius’ reign, Claudius was married to the infamous Empress Valeria Messalina. Although Agrippina was very influential, she kept a very low profile and stayed away from the imperial palace and the court of the emperor. Messalina considered Agrippina’s son a threat to her son’s position and sent assassins after Lucius. Gaius Sallustius Crispus Passienus divorced Lucius’ aunt, so that he could marry Agrippina. Crispus was a prominent, influential, witty, wealthy and powerful man, who served twice as consul. Crispus soon died and left his estate to Nero. At his funeral, the rumor spread around that Agrippina poisoned Crispus to gain his estate. After being widowed a second time, Agrippina was left very wealthy. Many people began to show pity and sympathy to Agrippina, due to the unfortunate circumstances in her life.After Messalina was executed in AD 48 for conspiring with Gaius Sillius to overthrow her husband, Claudius considered remarrying for the fourth time. Around this time, Agrippina became the mistress to one of Claudius’ advisers, but she soon turned her sights on her uncle, the emperor himself. With Claudius’s wife Messalina having been executed, Agrippina used her position as his niece to sit on his lap and offer her shoulder to cry on. It wasn’t long at all before Claudius was changing the laws of incest so he could legally marry his brother’s daughter. Because of Agrippina’s imperial lineage, she made a great candidate for the throne. The only setback was that Agrippina was Claudius’s niece. This was considered incestuous in the Roman law. Claudius asked the Senate to change the law so that he could marry her, which they agreed to because of Agrippina’s imperial bloodline.Agrippina and Claudius married on New Year’s Day, AD 49. This marriage caused widespread disapproval. This was a part of Agrippina’s scheming plan to make Lucius the new emperor. Her marriage to Claudius was not based on love, but on power. With this marriage, Agrippina had become empress of the largest empire in the world at that time. Far from being content to rule from behind the scenes, Agrippina took a more active role in court and in Roman life. She was soon honored with the extremely venerated title of Augusta, something usually reserved for empresses who held great power after their husbands had died. In fact, Agrippina was the first empress in Roman history to hold this title while her husband was alive.It is her behaviour as Claudius’s wife that makes Agrippina quite so extraordinary. Unlike Livia, Agrippina did not use private, feminine influence over her husband to get things done, she acted on her own and sat with him in public as an equal partner in ruling. She horrified the male Roman elite with the brazenness of her rule and she ignored them unless she could make use of them. Agrippina successfully manipulated and influenced Claudius into adopting her son and having him become his successor. Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus was adopted by his great maternal uncle and stepfather in AD 50. Lucius’ name was changed to Nero Claudius Caesar Drusus Germanicus and she became Claudius’s adopted son, heir and recognised successor. Agrippina and Claudius betrothed Nero to Octavia, and Agrippina arranged to have Seneca the Younger return from exile to tutor the future emperor. Claudius chose to adopt Nero because of his Julian and Claudian lineage.

Agrippina had wished for a male heir to place on the throne that she might pull his strings, but gave birth to a female heir instead, so she had to make-do. She went to great pains to convince the senate that Nero was Claudius’ trueborn male heir. Any sign of feminity Nero showed was simply written off as another quirk of hers. Some of Agrippina’s accomplishments were financial policies. She was shrewd in finances and had an effective administration during Caligula’s reign. Agrippina was also a Jewish sympathiser and was interested in Jewish affairs. Her greatest accomplishment was recalling Seneca from exile. She helped him financially and encouraged him to complete his many works on philosophy. She even wrote her memoirs, though they do not survive today. She was a brilliant political partner to Claudius and tried to make sure that Nero would govern his empire well.At some point around AD 54, Claudius apparently began to question his decision to disinherit his own son in favor of Nero. Agrippina started to worry the Claudius might reverse his decision. Later that year Emperor Claudius was dead. He was murdered by Agrippina. She poisoned Claudius on October 13, 54 with a plate of deadly mushrooms at a banquet. Certainly, Claudius’s death was nothing but benefit to Agrippina. As soon as Claudius was out of the way, Nero became the Emperor of Rome. Agrippina was named a priestess and was allowed to visit senate meetings and watch and listen to them behind a curtain.In the first few months of Nero’s reign, she controlled her daughter and her Empire. She slowly lost this control, however, for a number of reasons.Agrippina tried to control Nero with emotional manipulation, and poisoning — offering her antidote for the symptoms when they got bad and she had done well. When Nero began an affair with Claudia Acte, a former slave, and threatened to divorce Octavia, Agrippina advocated for Octavia and demanded that her daughter dismiss Acte. Although she and Octavia remained married, Nero began living openly with Acte as her wife in spite of her mother’s protests. Agrippina’s power over the empire through her son lasted several years, and they are the best years of Nero’s reign. But such an arrangement could not last forever. As Nero grew up and came to understand his position as emperor, Agrippina also came to understand fully how limited she was as a woman in the Roman world. In the end, her power was only effective when it was supported by men. When her son withdrew his support, rebelling against his mother, the senate and people of Rome soon followed. Agrippina was forced, very much against her will, into a quiet retirement.In AD 55, to weaken her power, Nero took away Agrippina’s titles, power, and guards. He also expelled her from the palace in AD 57. Quiet retirement did not suit Agrippina and she never accepted it. She agitated against Nero constantly, setting up factions of senators still loyal to her and trying to use Britannicus as a threat against him. Eventually, Nero decided to kill her, because as emperor he could. Agrippina was murdered outside of Rome, cremated and buried in an unmarked grave with no ceremony. She never received a funeral or any state honours and Nero did his best to pretend that she had never existed during the remaining years of his reign.

ㅤbiographyㅤ She was created and promoted to represent and propagate certain of Rome's ideas about itself, and to justify its rule. She was portrayed on coins, sculptures, architectural designs, and at official games and festivals. Images of Roma had elements in common with other goddesses, such as Rome's Minerva, her Greek equivalent Athena and various manifestations of Greek Tyche, who protected Greek city-states; among these, Roma stands dominant, over piled weapons that represent her conquests, and promising protection to the obedient. Her "Amazonian" iconography shows her "manly virtue" (virtus) as fierce mother of a warrior race, augmenting rather than replacing local goddesses. On some coinage of the Roman Imperial era, she is shown as a serene advisor, partner and protector of ruling emperors. In Rome, the Emperor Hadrian built and dedicated a gigantic temple to her as Roma Aeterna ("Eternal Rome"), and to Venus Felix, ("Venus the Bringer of Good Fortune"), emphasising the sacred, universal and eternal nature of the empire.Roma's official cult served to advance the propagandist message of Imperial Rome. In Roman art and coinage, she is usually depicted in military form, with helmet and weapons. In Rome's eastern provinces, she was often shown with mural crown or cornucopia, or both. Her image is rarely found in a commonplace or domestic context.

As personification, as goddess or as symbol, the name Roma stretches from classical Greece to Mussolini’s Fascist propaganda. Roma has been seen as a goddess, a whore, a near-saint, and as the symbol of civilization itself. In general the appearance of Roma seems directly related to diplomatic contacts with the Republic and her worship is attested significantly more frequently than the cults of individual Romans. Roma is best thought of as like a Hellenistic ruler in a new guise and her worship a way of Greeks keeping good on terms with the Romans, a vehicle of diplomacy on established lines. In consequence one finds Roma given altars, temples, priests, sacrifices, festivals, epithets, hymns and months—in practice the range of isotheoi timai. The difference is, of course, that Roma was not a ruler but a deity, who might be powerful to aid in a supernatural way.

Everyone who lived in Rome or visited it, more or less worshiped Roma even if they didn’t actively know of her by virtue of being in Rome. It follows that Dea Roma played a central part in preparing the way for the system provided by Augustus: the worship of the personification of the Republic provided the bridge between the cult of Hellenistic ruler and the Roman imperial cult. Yet once Rome had taken over the Greek world, it was inevitably the emperor who took the center of the stage and Roma became essentially superfluous. This explains why her cult faltered in the East after the death of Augustus and why the literary authorities mostly overlook her inclusion. In the West Roma seems to have limited impact though her name is duly included in priestly titles at Lugdunum and elsewhere down to the third century A.D.She remains the oldest continuous political-religious symbol in Western civilization.

ㅤbiographyㅤ The daughter of Helios and Perse, Circe was a powerful enchantress versatile in the arts of herbs and potions and through the use of these and a magic wand or staff, she would transform her enemies, or those who offended her, into animals. She was born with a hair streaked like a lynx and with a chin that was less than pleasing in her father’s eyes to make for a suitable match for a son of Zeus- or any god, like her mother desired. Her infancy was the work of hours, toddlerhood a few moments beyond that. An aunt stayed on hoping to curry favor with her mother and named her Hawk, Circe, for her yellow eyes, and the strange, thin sound of her crying. But when she realized that her mother no more noticed her service than the ground at her feet, she vanished. She lived her childhood in her father’s palace which halls which were dark and silent, made of polished obsidian and neighboured Oceanos’ palace. When her father was gone Circe did as she wished: lit a torch and run to see the dark flames follow her and lie on the smooth earth floor and wear small holes in its surface with her fingers. Nothing lived in those halls, except for her family.Circe did not get along with her siblings Perses and Pasiphaë. The two of them were clever and quickly saw how things stood, loving to sneer at her behind their ermine paws. However soon they found better sport among the infant naiads and river-lords in Oceanos’ halls. She left them to it, preferring her father’s quiet halls and spending every possible moment at her father’s feet. When Aeëtes was born and did not receive a prophecy from Helios, Circe took him under her care as their mother did not care to raise a child without a prophecy and their aunts knew better than to stick around trying to gain anything from Perseis by raising him. Every moment he was with her while growing up, Circe felt a rushing in her throat, which was her love for him, so great sometimes she could not speak. The two of them were close growing up, and Circe entrusted him with a secret of her own. Eventually, after the wedding of their sister Pasiphaë, he left and became a king of Colchis, leaving Circe heartbroken and alone again as even her other brother, Perses, left their father’s palace.Circe fell in love with Glaucus, a man who she turned into a sea-god so they may be together, who as the Fates would have it became besotted with Scylla. When Circe’s advances and attempts at seduction failed miserably, she became incensed and in a jealous rage, Circe poisoned the water where Scylla bathed. As a result, the hideous monster was born and Circe’s fate was sealed: life-long banishment from her immortal home and family. Exiled on the island of Aeaea, Circe was given a grand house by her father which was a message of defiance to rebalance the scales against Zeus.At first she was afraid; afraid of things that were in the dark, huge, ghostly leviathans slithering up the hillside, nightworms squirming out of their burrows, pressing their blind faces to her door, goat-footed gods eager to feed their savage appetites, pirates muffling their oars in my harbor, planning how they would take her. But the next day her fear was gone, and in its place was a giddy spark. She learned to braid her hair, to tie her skirt at her knees to keep the burrs off, learned to recognize various plants and to spot the shining dragonflies and coiling snakes. At night she went to her home, no longer afraid. In her time on the island she learned how to use her powers. It was hard work, as sorcery was not divine power, which comes with a thought and a blink. After learning that she could bend the world to her will, as a bow is bent for an arrow, she was willing to toil a thousand times to keep such power in her hands.After some time she was invited to attend her sister’s childbirth. With permission from their father, her exile lifted for the visit. Though confused why it was her that she had invited and not Perses if it was more magic to help her in the childbirth, Circe accepted the invite. On Crete she helped Pasiphaë give birth to the Minotaur, losing two fingers and a part of a third. With the help of Daedalus she wrapped him in a thick wool coverlet and trapped him within a bird cage. Though she still could not understand why she had been summoned, one thought came clear for her: she needed to do something, she could not stand by while a horror was loosed upon the world. Heading to Pasiphaë’s workshop for answers, Circe understood something: though her sister was twice the goddess she was, she was twice the witch. She brewed a charm to help with the MInotaur’s endless appetite, setting bounds to it. For three seasons of the year, the spell will keep its appetite at bay. But every harvest it will return, and must be fed.

Spring passed into summer, and summer into fragrant autumn. In defiance, she threw herself into her old life - doing what she liked, the moment that she thought of it. Winter came soon with its own beauty, the green hellebore leaves shining amid the brown, and the cypresses tall and black against the metal sky. In spring a ship sailed to the shores of Aeaea. Two descended, arms touching, heads bowed. A man, broad and muscular, his dark hair lifting in the late breeze. And a woman, tall and wrapped in black, a long veil flowing down behind her. Her veil was arranged so that not one strand of hair showed beneath it. Her chin stayed resolutely down, concealing her face. They came to her for aid, having fled great evil and to escape it they had done great evil. They were tainted with Masma.Agreeing to Karthasis, the cleansing by smoke and prayer, water and blood, she led them inside, slit a piglet’s throat, sang the hymns, and bathed their hands and faces in sacred water while fragrant herbs burned. When it was done, the woman looked up and revealed her eyes which shone bright as torches and her hair like the sun on Crete’s hills. A demigod, she was, that potent mix of human and divinity. And more than that: she was her kin. She was her brother Aeëtes’ child, Medea. The man with her was Jason, heir by rights to the kingdom of Iolcos. Circe listened to their tale of trying to gain the golden fleece and how the two had arrived on her island after getting rid of Medea’s father by killing and dismembering her brother. She listened to Medea’s tale of her father, not recognizing the person she told her about. Explaining how she would be a foreigner and seen as a witch, Circe offered Medea a place on her island where she could teach her magic, but her offer was refused. Soon Aeëtes came to her island, demanding Circe to give her daughter to her, and she knew she had lost him long ago.Circe tried to continue life after it, but since Medea had now named her loneliness, it hung from everything, clinging like spiderwebs, unavoidable.A winter passed and she was sent a nymph for a year to stay in exile on Aeaea with her. As the nymph’s way of acting infuriated her, Circe threatened to turn her into a blindworm and drop her into the sea for the fish would she continue to cause trouble to her. After that word spread among the gods that Aeaea was a good place to send difficult daughters. Circe opened her island to lost sailors. Men came to her shore, she fed them and the captain had his way with her. She turned the men into pigs and slaughtered them. She remembered how Daedalus had told her a story of how he had been hired by lords of Cretes to enlarge their houses, how there were problems that needed to be dealt with but none agreed.“I told them,” he said to me. “I told them and told them. When there is rot in the walls, there is only one remedy.”She could feel the bruise on her throat and only thought, tear down. Tear down and build again. Men continued to come to her shores. She could have cast a spell, hide her island, but it was too late for that. Let them come, she thought. They all had the same desperate story: they were lost, they were weary, they were out of food. They would be so grateful for her help. Only few left her island.It was my favorite moment, seeing them frown and try to understand why I wasn’t afraid. In their bodies I could feel my herbs like strings waiting to be plucked. I savored their confusion, their dawning fear. Then I plucked them.A ship arrived with eyes on the hull, the nymphs told her. It caught her interest as pirates did not have the gold to waste on paint, but she did not go see it. The anticipation was part of the pleasure. The men came and she did not wait for them to come at her anymore, raising her staff and speaking her word. They went crying to their pen like all the rest. Another one came down the path. He told her of Troy, of her wife, and did not drink the wine that had been offered. A pouch was on his waist with flowers that no mortal could pick; she knew Hermes had been the one to give it to him, as a safeguard to make him immune to her spells. In that moment she knew the man was Odysseus, just as he knew her to be Circe. She told him of the prophecy she had heard - that he was fated to come to her halls. As he laughed it being the dullest prophecy, she proposed a truce. A test of sorts.Years later she heard a song made of their meeting. She was not surprised by the portrait that was made of her: the proud witch undone before the hero’s sword, kneeling and begging for mercy. They did find some trust between them.Odysseus told her of himself; how he was not from Argos, of the war he had been in, how his journey from Troy had been difficult. A knife, she had named him at first, but now she could see that he was sliced down to the bone. She felt an answering ache in her chest. She had taken him to bed as a dare, but now the feeling that flickered in her was something much older. Here was something torn that she could mend. She offered him harbor there and returned his men to humans. They spoke through the night, sharing stories. Odysseus told her of the world outside, of Achilles, how he had wanted to be like Daedalus. When the sun rose he asked if he and his men could stay there for a month; his men were close to breaking and their ship needed fixing. With a burst of joy, like honey in her throat, she agreed. A month should not be too long. He spent his days working on the ship. In the evenings, they would sit before the hearth while the men ate their suppers, and at night he came to her bed. There were pleasures there, but in truth the greater pleasure was after, when they laid together in the darkness and he told stories of Troy, conjuring the war spear by spear. In return she told him tales of her own; Scylla and Glaucos, Aeëtes, the Minotaur. The stone wall cutting into her back. The floor of her hall wet with blood, reflecting the moon. The bodies she had dragged one by one down the hill, and burned with their ship. However she pretended she could conceal her thoughts as well as he, she knew it was not true. He saw down to her bones and gathered her weaknesses up and set them with the rest of his collection.Odysseus and his men stayed for the winter.Sometimes, she would see him watching her. An intentness would come over his face, and he would begin to ask his casual, sideways questions. About the island, about her father, the loom, her history, witchcraft. She did not answer, and it pleased him. All the world confessed to him. He confessed to me. She began to ask for small favors. Would he kill a buck for dinner? Would he catch a few fish? It gave her a sharp pleasure to see him come in the door with full nets, with baskets of fruit from her orchards. Circe knew she was a fool. Even if he stayed past that spring to the next, such a man could never be happy closed up on her narrow shores. And even if he could, he was still mortal, and not young. Give thanks, she told herself. A winter is more than what she’d had with Daedalus. She did not give thanks. Instead she learned his favorite foods and smiled to see his pleasure in them.Spring came. Just one more season, she imagined saying to him. Just till summer’s end, that is when the best winds come. She let the island plead for her instead, speaking with its eloquent beauty. She unrolled all Aeaea’s wonders like a rug before him, and saw him begin to waver. His men saw too. Day by day, they grew more restless. Apollo came to Aeaea with a prophecy of Odysseus. She refused to tell him. She set out her best dishes, broached her oldest wine. But there was no savor in it. His face was abstracted. All day he kept turning to look out the window as if someone would come. Once his men were asleep he told her of his plans to leave. She felt dull anger, and she told him of the prophecy. She gave him advice and they laid beside each other through the night, and come dawn she helped him dress.With her nymphs she watched how the ship eventually rolled back to her shores from its trip to the underworld. Inviting the men in, she fed them and gave them a place to rest. A new prophecy, one she gave advice for. How to get back home alive. He and his men now rested, they left for good. Odysseus, son of Laertes, the great traveler, prince of wiles and tricks and a thousand ways. He showed his scars, and in return he let her pretend that she had none. He stepped onto his ship, and when he turned back to look for Circe, she was gone.

Just before he disappeared before the horizon, Circe who had never been sick before, now was sick every moment. Her nymphs wrung their hands and clutched each other, for in pregnancy their kind glowed and swelled like buds so they thought her to be poisoned or cursed. She sent the nymphs back to her fathers to go through it alone. The house was empty, but she did not have time to think upon it or mourn Odysseus. She was giddy feeling his first kicks and spoke to him every moment. Alone she gave birth to her son, Telegonus. It was not easy, caring for a mortal child and she was glad she did not need sleep. They did find some moments of peace, when he slept, when he was fed, when he smiled at a flight of birds scattering from a tree. She would look at him and feel a love so sharp it seemed her flesh lay open.She was warned by Athena; she would not be able to watch him forever and eventually she would be able to kill him. Circe knew her son would grow to do something Athena feared. Something she would be sorry for. Raising a shield, she guarded the island from Athena so she would not be able to harm her or her son. With just the two of them, Circe raised her son on the island. One summer night he asked of his father, and she told him. Told him who he was, what he looked like, what his life had been like, why he had left. Yet she found herself omitting things, altering things, and the few times she told the truth of Odysseus her son would frown and say that she did not tell the tale correctly, that his father was not like that. She would agree and tell the tale again differently.On his sixteenth birthday he expressed his desire to leave, showed her the ship he had built. With the help of Hermes he would leave in a matter of days and go seek out his father. Circe was enraged, forbidding Telegonus to leave the island. She would keep him there until his death if it came to it. The two fought over it, but on the next day she gave in. With conditions he could leave. It delighted him. Alone, she thought she could do what she had not been able to do in centuries, yet she only could pace the shore, gazing out, as if her gaze could reach Ithaca. Winter came and Telegonus returned. Soon - way too soon. He smelled of salt and felt broader than before. His face was haggard, bruised and unslept. Thick with misery.He had met Odysseus, but he had mistakenly accused him of raiding his lands. Telegonus tried to clear the misunderstanding, he tried to escape, but Odysseus caught up to him and the tip of Telegonus’ spear grazed his cheek, the poison from Trygon’s tail killing him instantly. Circe explained to him that it was not his fault, that his death had been decided by the Fates. Together they grieved for the death of Odysseus. Saying there was nothing left for them there, Telegonus brought Penelope the dowager queen and her son Telemachus with him to Aeaea. At first Circe disagreed, but as Telegonus said he would take them elsewhere she reluctantly agreed to house them.Out of fear for her son she talked to Telemachus, finding out that he had had little love towards his father, only sorrow that he had not met the man Odysseus had said to have been. He had been angry towards the end, and Circe could remember seeing him in such moods. When he had lived with her, she had smoothed them away, wrapping him in her magic and divinity. Perhaps it was why he had been so happy. An idyll, she had called their time. Illusion might have been a better word. She could imagine Odysseus’ face as he killed those suitors, man by man by man. They would have died at his feet, their blood staining him to the knees. He would note it coolly, distantly, like the click of a counter: done. On and on he would have gone, if Athena had not intervened.And what of me? She could not help but wonder. How long would she have gone on filling her sty, had Odysseus not come? She could remember him asking about the pigs, how she could tell which man deserved it. How she could judge that this heart was rotten and this one good. "I change them all,” She had said. “They have come to my house. Why should I care what is in their hearts?” To which Odysseus had smiled. “Lady, you and I are in accord.”On the following day Circe confronted Penelope of her true reason for being on her island. She told him everything of Odysseus, how he had always yearned for war even after returning home. How until the end, he had been accompanied by and spurred on by Athena. How she was afraid that now that Odysseus was dead, Athena would come for her son. It angered Circe. Penelope asked if they could stay on Aeaea, hide from Athena until they could not. Circe agreed, saying that it was winter and no ships would sail now; Aeaea would bear them a little longer. After some while Hermes came in, asking Circe to lower her spells, to let Athena on her island so she may come get Telemachus as was his inheritance, his right. Circe agreed, only to make her wait three days.Leaving the mother and son to mend their strained relationship, Circe occupied herself elsewhere, and on the morning of the third day she let the spell fall. Athena came to her house and told Telemachus of his future. He would found a prosperous city with stout walls in Italy. She has gathered great men for him and they would come at dusk. Yet he refused, to the surprise of both Circe and Athena. She made the same offer for Telegonus, and much to the grief of Circe he accepted. It was what he had always dreamed of. Her mind felt parched and windswept as he embraced her. Circe helped her son pack, filling trunks with medicines of every sort, giving him the warmest clothes she owned despite it being summer soon. She piled on treasure after treasure, gold and silver and finest embroidery, for new kings fare best when they have wonders to give. She knew he would be a fine ruler. Fair-minded and warm. He will not be consumed like his father was. He had never been hungry for glory, only for life. In the end she lifted her hand as a blessing and gave her son to the world.In the days that followed, Penelope and Telemachus treated her as if she were Egyptian glass. They spoke softly and walked on light feet past her chair. All of it slid away. They were kind, but they were nothing to her. Her island lay around her. Her herbs, her house, her animals. And so it would go, she thought, on and on, forever the same. It did not matter if Penelope and Telemachus were kind. It did not matter even if they stayed for their whole lives, if she were the friend she had yearned for and he were something else, it would only be a blink. They would wither, and she would burn their bodies and watch her memories of them yellow and fade as everything faded in the endless wash of centuries. For her, there was nothing. She told him that she would tell Zeus of what she had done to Prometheus and gain the wrath of Zeus if he would not. Her father would be the one he would blame in the end, for he had not kept a better check of his daughter. Of course, she would tell him other things as well. Of the tiptoeing treasons she had heard him whisper with her uncles. She would start a mutiny. She would start a war. She would never be allowed to ask anything of him again. Circe agreed, saying that she would leave her island the next day. He told her to be sure not to dishonor him, but she told him to leave her out in the count of his children and she would do as she pleased.Returning to her house, Circe told Penelope that she would take them to Sparta if they wished. She found herself not to be in a rush to go to Sparta and decided to stay on Aeaea as Circe had given her the permission to do. She offered the same to Telemachus, but he decided to go with her. They made their preparations and in the following morning Penelope waved them off. Twice she had watched her island dwindle behind her. No thunderbolt came, and she was free. She went to face Scylla and made her swallow poison from the spear which with her spells would finally free her of her suffering as she turned to stone. No more souls would walk to the underworld written with her name. With every step she felt lighter. She had been old and stern for so long, carved with regrets and years like a monolith. But that was only a shape she had been poured into. She did not have to keep it.Circe married Telemachus, they traveled the world together and she birthed him two daughters. They bring them to meet Telegonus, throned among his golden orchards. She ages. When she looks at her reflection there are lines on her face and her skin has thickened as well. Her witchcraft is stronger and she makes herself mortal.

ㅤbiographyㅤ An ancient Greek goddess associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation. She was syncretized with the Roman goddess Venus. In Laconia, Aphrodite was worshipped as a warrior goddess. She was also the patron goddess of prostitutes. The daughter of Zeus and Dione, she was born near her chief center of worship, Paphos, on the island of Cyprus. A nubile, infinitely desirable adult, she had no childhood. Aphrodite was so lovely that only the three virgin goddesses – Artemis, Athena, and Hestia – were immune to her charms and power. Unsurprisingly, the second she got on Olympus, she inadvertently wreaked havoc amongst the other gods, each of whom instantly wanted to have her for himself.

Compelled by Hera to marry the not-so-great catch of Hephaistos, the god of fire and crafts, Aphrodite was less than faithful, having notorious affairs with the gods Ares, Hermes, and Dionysos. The fling with Ares was perhaps the most shocking of the many episodes of infidelity that occurred amongst the Olympian Gods. Hephaistos, a fiendishly clever designer and engineer, manufactured a special golden bed to entrap his wife. When Aphrodite and Ares were at their most passionate, the bed sprang forth golden chains which locked the naked gods in their illicit embrace. Their embarrassment was made worse when Helios the sun god shone down his bright light upon the couple so that all the Olympians could get a good look at the disgrace. When finally freed, Ares fled to Thrace and Aphrodite back to Cyprus. At the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, Eris (goddess of strife) offered a golden apple for the most beautiful goddess. Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite vied for the honour, and Zeus appointed the Trojan prince Paris as judge.

To influence his decision, Athena promised him strength and invincibility, Hera offered the regions of Asia and Europe, and Aphrodite offered the most beautiful woman in the world. Paris chose Aphrodite and so the victorious goddess gave him fair Helen of Sparta. However, as she was already the wife of Menelaos, Paris’s abduction of Helen provoked the Spartan king to enlist the assistance of his brother Agamemnon and send an expedition to Troy to take back Helen.One of the goddess’ most famous flings was with the beautiful Adonis. Aphrodite kept the youth safely in a chest guarded by Persephone, but the latter fell in love with him too and would not give him back to the goddess of love. Zeus was obliged to intervene, and he ruled that Adonis should spend four months of the year with each lady (and fourth months rest on his own). Tragically killed in a hunting accident, the impossibly handsome youth was transformed into a flower without scent. Aphrodite was distraught at her loss, and her grief was commemorated in a cult, the annual highlight of which was a women-only festival, the Adonia.

In a hopeless situation, the Lord of Su offered King Zhou his beautiful daughter, which he accepted and withdrew his troops. By then, the king was in his sixties and had been in his throne for forty years. He had been known as strong, heroic, oratory and well versed in music. Under his reign, Shang had become a powerful and prosperous state. He certainly had his Achilles’ heel, namely, his infatuated love for women. Ever since Zhou had Daji as his concubine, things began to change, for the worse. King Zhou, fond of wine and women, fell in love with Daji to such an extent that he obeyed all her words. Using any means necessary to ingratiate himself with her and please her, he started to neglect state affairs. The people suffered under the chaotic administration, and the regional rulers began to rebel. Daji thereupon suggested aggravating punishment in order to demonstrate the authority of the king.Zhou liked Daji so much that he tried every means to ingratiate himself with her. Daji liked animals, so he built her a zoological Xanadu with a large collection of rare birds and animals. She liked dancing and singing, so he ordered artists to compose lewd music and choreograph bawdy dances. Forgetting about state affairs all together, King Zhou began to spend all his time with Daji. He would gather three thousand guests at one party to enjoy his “pond of wine” and “forest of meat,” which was cooked meat strips hanging from a wood of trees. King Zhou would allow the guests to play a cat and mouse game in the nude among the trees so that Daji could be amused. When a maid of honor, daughter of Lord Jiu, could not bear the sight of such debauchery and protested, King Zhou had her slain, her father grounded, and his flesh fed to the tyrant's vassals.

Eventually Daji became a brute herself. Her greatest joy was to hear people cry in physical sufferings. She would burst out laughing each time she watched an execution. Quick on torture, she ordered them often to be done for her own curiosity and amusement. Even King Zhou’s family was not off limits - Bi Gan, King Zhou’s uncle, received an unfortunate end at Daji’s hands by having his heart cut out and examined to determine if the ancient saying of “a good man’s heart has seven apertures” was true. On top of all those atrocities, Daji was best known for her invention of a device of torture called Paolao: a bronze cylinder heated like a furnace with charcoal until the sides were extremely hot. Then the victim would be bound on the cylinder and baked to death. Daji would take great delight in the painful cries of the condemned.King Zhou placed Ji Chang, the Western Duke, under house arrest in Youli for almost seven yeras. His eldest son, Bo Yikao, came to plead with the king to release his father. Daji fell in love and had an affair with him. Though Daji attempted to seduce him, he rejected and ridiculed her. The king found out, and in his wrath had Kao killed and his body grounded.

Twelve years after his death, an attack was launched against the king. The anger and hatred created by the brutality of tyrant Zhou and Daji among their own people made it easier. Daji was executed on the orders of King Wu of Zhou after the fall of the Shang dynasty on the advice of Taigong Wang. Following her death, her head was hung on a small white flag to symbolize how she had become the downfall of the dynasty. She had become King Wu’s excuse for taking over the kingdom, and, as such, the government was renewed following her death.

ㅤbiographyㅤ Rosette Christopher was born on January 23, 1912 to her parents (unnamed), who later died when she was around six years old. Rosette and her younger brother, Joshua, could do nothing but wait while some unknown adults frantically searched for their mother and father. Their parents’ bodies were never recovered, but the two siblings attended a funeral for them. After the funeral, Rosette and Joshua felt that adults were liars and made a promise to each other that they would grow up together. Eventually, Rosette and Joshua were sent to the Seventh Bell Orphanage where they would stay for the next few years of their lives. Rosette became very protective of Joshua, who was very sickly due to the strain his Apostle power put on his body whenever he used it.It was some time in the year 1920 when Rosette and Joshua would once again go off into the woods to avoid Remington. Eventually, both would slip and fall into a weak spot in the ground, which landed them in an underground area. In search of a way out, the two ambled along the underground passage, which eventually led them to a large door with a strange seal on it. Joshua reached forward to clear away the dust and ended up breaking the seal, causing the doors to open, revealing the inside of a tomb. Much to their surprise, there was a young boy there, claiming the he’d been asleep for fifty years. The boy revealed himself to be Chrono and stated that he was a Demon.

From that day on, Rosette and Joshua would go off into the woods even more regularly to visit Chrono and listen to his many stories. One day after Joshua had worn himself out and fallen asleep, Rosette confided to Chrono that she really wanted to be a doctor to try and find a way to cure Joshua’s sickness. Tired of being protected by his sister and wanting to be healthy so she didn’t have to worry about him, Joshua wanted to be strong enough to take care of her and be her support instead of the other way around. He was tricked and accepted a Demon’s offer of becoming stronger. The overwhelming power of the horns made him lose his sanity almost immediately. Rosette and Chrono formed a bond and tried to stop Joshua, but were not able to reach the orphanage in time. After that their primary mission turned into finding Joshua who was taken.Rosette and Chrono joined the Order of Magdalene which is a religious, militaristic organization of the catholic church dedicated to exterminating all sorts of monsters and investigating mysterious supernatural cases in the United States of America. With the help of Chrono she fought to exterminate monsters. Whenever the two would be in a pinch, Rosette would unleash Chrono’s powers. However the consequences of this are that her life is shortened every time she unlocks the seal (in the form of a pocket watch) that contains Chrono’s powers. On one of their missions, Rosette met Azmaria, a 12 year old Apostle of Charity. Azmaria can heal people’s injuries by singing hymns.Following a questionable clue to find Joshua, the three met Satella Harvenheit, a German Jewel Witch and a bounty hunter who kills Demons.The three proceed to make a journey across the country. After much trouble and multiple stops due to being trying to get killed and separated, they finally arrive. With nothing to do and having to wait for the local branch to get things sorted out, they head over to thanksgiving festival. Spending the evening there, Satella even pays for a photograph to get taken of all of them.

After a catastrophe that happened on the Carnival day, Satella meets Rosette. Seeing Rosette in low spirits, Satella brings her spirits up. After a brief conversation, the two decide to go their own separate ways. Upon hearing of how Chrono is paralyzed, Rosette hurries to the Magdalene headquarters in Manhattan. Rosette then uses the Soul Dive to leave her body as a spirit and communicate with Chrono. Revealing her love for him, Chrono gets out of his petrified state. They then go on to assault Pandaemonium. During the assault, it is discovered that Magdalene’s Soul was in the pocket watch. During the events, Chrono risks his life to save Rosette. As Chrono leaves to battle Aion, he promises Rosette they’ll meet again.Years later, it starts to become evident that Rosette will not live much longer and is said by her doctor, Elizabeth, that Rosette is dying from progeria (a rare disease that causes accelerated aging). It is revealed that it is only through sheer will that Rosette is able to go on as long as she has. In 1932, Rosette suffers another heart attack in a church after talking to Father Remington. She is frightened and seized with panic as she didn’t want to die alone and called for Chrono. That’s when Chrono burst through the door with his open arms. Rosette runs towards him crying, throwing herself in his arms.She died 20 years old.
